Established in 1991 as the fulfillment of a lifelong dream, Judy’s Dance Academy has become a long standing entity in the Brandon / Valrico area and surrounding communities. Starting with one dance studio and 125 students, JDA now serves 300-400 dancers each year in a multi-room facility. In 1994, Director Judy Comiskey, branched out into the competition world and presently has over 50 students who are either part of the JAM Competition Team or the All-Starz Performance Team.

Bringing the talents of her dancers to numerous community events through-out the years has resulted in Mrs. Comiskey becoming a well-known public figure. She takes pride in giving back to the community by participating in many on-going charitable organizations such as Feed the Bay, Relay for Life, Susan Komen 3-Day For a Cure and Brandon Gift of Hope to name but a few. Her mission is to be the studio that cares.

Offering a comprehensive curriculum of ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, clogging, acro, pointe and contemporary our program allows dancers to reach for their highest potential no matter the age or level. JDA prides itself on being a family oriented studio where dancers who take 1 class are as valuable as those that take 10 classes. New students are always welcome through-out the year.
